A report from Tokyo [軽井沢だより]

This is a report from Tokyo correspondent dated on April 2nd.

.

I was on the Gina street on April 2nd, and ran into somewhat old man probably over 70.

I asked this man, if he knows about a story which ran on one of the British newspapers on April 1st.

The story was that prime minister Hatoyama asked all his ministers to put in resignation on account of dis-accord in his cabinet.

Fatal blow came on the news that his key minister in charge of strategic planning gave an interview to TV and expressed his comment on lately approved budget, calling this worst ever budget in Japanese history. This triggered PM Hatoyama.

.

The old man said he was not aware of this.

So I said this was published on April first, in other words, all fools day.

He responded.

Yeah, we are all fools.”

I did not think he understood me right.

However, I thought  he probably  said right thing.

At any rate, they, Japanese people, made these messy situation possible in last August election.

So it is all their faults, nobody else's.

.
